Any questions, comments or suggestions about Rotterdam Port Connector?
Last month European Gateway Services (EGS) opened its own office in Munich, Germany. The opening of this branch office in Bavaria underlines EGS’s ambition to establish an active presence in Southern Germany.
For a number of years now, EGS – a subsidiary of Europe Container Terminals (ECT) – has been offering its clients a railway service between Rotterdam and Bavaria. This shuttle connection, known as the ‘Rotterdam-Bayern Express’, has been running four times a week between Munich/Nuremberg and Rotterdam since 2012.
The new office in Munich allows EGS to respond to its clients’ demands more effectively and swiftly, thanks to new opportunities to combine knowledge of the local market with insight into the various processes at the Rotterdam terminals. In addition, it enables EGS to further expand its range of services and to step up the frequency of its shuttle connections should the volume of freight offered for transport increase further.
